March 2010

We thought we were done with snow and then it snowed again the first week of March.
It was heavy wet snow! I came home in the evening with a little rain and the Cameron came home a couple of hours later and it was already falling heavily. This was how it looked on our way to work.

The view from school.

 One of our vans.

Dinner. Fried squid, dumplings and veggies. Soy sauce for dipping.
Right corner: dok boki - rice cake with a spicy red pepper sauce. Also fish sausage which I'm not fond of.

Kindergarten started in March. That is the normal school year for all of the Korean kindergartens.
We have a birthday party each month for the students and teachers who have birthdays in that month.
This is the first party ever.

The little white, green and pink balls on the table next to the cake are rice cakes filled with honey and sesame. They are my favorite of the Korean rice cakes.
Each student in the age group brings a small gift. And the birthday boy or girl brings a small gift in return. Kind of like our party favors.

The teachers room.

Really awesome moon!                                                             A cute one of Callie and Orion.
