God is Always Good!

The last months have been a blur, but a challenging blur and a bit of a slow blur which doesn't seem possible.

We moved from Arapongas to Londrina in July, which I blogged about.
A little background which I have shared a little of before. Many Brazilian lots have a small house built on the very back of the lot. Many times people will live in this small house as they save to build a larger house on the front of the property. This is sort of what my in-laws were doing. The plan when we moved in July was to move into the little house as soon as the main house was finished. But we didn't realize at the time that would be longer than anticipated. Thankfully God was there and He provided in big ways!

We saw God's provision continually as we got closer and closer to the cut off date for our temporary housing. November came and painters showed up at the house we were staying in. Cameron and I went into a panic thinking we would have to find a place to stay. But the neighbors said not to worry - Worry, why do we do it? - we were welcome to stay until they found a buyer.
But we still fretted each day as the painters continued. They finished and a few days later the house was put on the market. "What are we going to do?" We cleaned up our space in order to prepare for the house to be shown. But still we stayed there and there was never a call to send us scrambling.

December began and we were still there. The house was still not done to all of our chagrin. We were all weary. Trying not to show it, but we were. Sharing space as adults is tough. Grace is HUGE!

Christmas was coming quickly! All of us had plans and the plans were not in the current situation. They were settled in our own new spaces. Why were we not there yet?

Finally, a date was set! The builders were hurrying as fast as they could (note: they are WAY behind schedule). School came to a close for the year and Cameron's vacation started. I was still working a temporary job. But we had a moving date!
The cleaning ladies were hired and the shift began. First Cameron's parents stuff was moved into the "big" house, then the little house was cleaned, then our stuff was moved. It took almost a week to complete the shift because of all of the little and big things that needed to be done.

My stomach was a mess! My anxiety was up! I discovered I do not handle change well. Anticipation got the best of me.

It is now February and we are settling in. Our little 3 room + bathroom house is set up. Think of it as a life-sized shoe box. It is a rectangle with a kitchen space, living room space, tiny bathroom and bedroom. Just enough space for us, though.

I just finished hanging up pictures and decorations that make it my own and I'm getting into my own routine.

God walked us through this whole process. Every time we worried HE was there. Every time we weren't sure HE was there. He is here now.
He is always good in our frustrations. He is there walking us through us. Holding us up and teaching us.
