A little update. I was having some pains in my right side. I thought it might be an ovarian cyst, but I wasn't sure. The doctor did an ultra-sound, but didn't find anything. He did, however, do a check on my thyroid, which I had never had done. He found that it was enlarged. He ran a blood test and found that I have hyperthyroidism. I go back this week to find out about treatment.
The pain has since gone. I wonder if God gave me the pain so that I would find out about my condition. Amazingly hyperthyroidism explains many symptoms I have had recently that I thought were just me: palpitations - from high metabolism, weight loss, anxiety.
I have heard from friends and relatives that this is a common problem and that the treatment is fairly simple.
I can't wait to get back to my normal self.
